In that capacity I had, over a period of twelve years, the pleasure and good fortune of working with Jerry Childers, Architect on many construction projects, ranging from moderate corporate office renovations to the construction of fifteen new bank buildings. In addition to the architect's responsibilities, in most instances, Jerry also served as the designer; choosing finishes (full gamut - interior and exterior); recommending colors; assessing and recommending furniture and accessories; coordinating with sign vendors for the most effective presentation.

Jerry also acted in a project management role on most of those jobs and he consistently kept a close eye on contractors' progress and the quality of the work performed. When warranted, he tactfully highlighted points of concern and effectively worked with the owner and contractor to accomplish resolution without protracted conflict.

One of the best features is the ease of entertaining. During the construction, the contractor went bankrupt. Mr. Jerry assembled a team to complete the project. We would not have been able to complete the project without his skill, knowledge, attention to detail and negotiating savvy.
